Windows Script

I am looking for a way to make it so when you turn on windows it automaticly opens sertain programs. And automaticly goes to file -----> open and then selects the right file.

Reason for this: My boss is old and he dont remember how to do all these things. And he gets in there and tries to figure it out and then messes it up and i half to fix it everday. I dont mind because im paid to but if i didnt half to it would be great hehe.

anyone know of a program or way to make scripts for windows?

Some reason i always have the crazies off the wall ideas hehe

Why not just put the programs in the start-up folder. Then, in the commandline of the program, put the filename (assuming it supports this).

So for example, this would go in your start-up:

notepad "c:\docs\mytextfile.txt"

Or you could just put the file you wanted to open in the startup folder. Windows would automatically make the association for the application to open.

i cant realy put the file into the startup folder because its a file used by 5 comps and it would half to be in the startup folder of all 5 and u cant be in 5 places at the same time. But i might be able to put a shortcut to it.. not sure if that would work though

could you just put a shortcut to the file in your boss's startup folder?

--edit-- sorry, you're on the right track in the last sentence in the last post...
