Saving Gif animations in FireFox
Hey,
I've been using firefox for awhile now, [since phoenix in fact] and the only concern i have with it so far is I've been unable to save gif animations. Whenever I save them, it only comes up as one of the Frames in that image; instead of the whole animation. [I've tried it on many different ones, so I don't think it's the image that's faulty] Anyone know of an extension that will let me configure this easily ? thanks, keyshawn [PS - I asked about this in their IRC channel, though no one knew what to do] |

Hmm, i'm using firefox 1.0 and i can save gifs fine. I just saved this gif as a test http://www.animatedgif.net/animals/b...rrybear_e0.gif
Maybe the problem is that the program your using to view it doesnt show animated gifs, only the first frame. The built in Preview application in windows xp should show them fine. |

I use Firefox (amoungst others), and I've just saved an animated avatar from TFP to my desktop using Firefox 1.0.
Now if I double click to open it from my desktop, it can open up with either MS Photo Editor, MS Paint, Paint Shop Pro or Adobe Photoshop and still only ever show me the first frame of the animation... If I use Firefox to 'Open File' this same file or another browser to open this same file I can then see the animation. So are you opening the animated .gif with the right software is my question..?
