K8T800Pro Neo2 Motherboard
I just got done putting together a computer using this board and as soon as I boot up I am getting 3 beeps of equal length.
So after some moving around, it seems I get the beeps whenever there is a stick of ram (any stick) in the channel 0 slots (4 and 3), but if I place them in channel 1 (slots 2 and 1) I lose the bennefit of dual channel but the PC boots fine. Anyone have any resolutions to this issue or heard anything like it?

what kind of ram are you using? Not just name brand, but type, # of sticks, etc?

well, the bios beep code indicates bad memory..
http://www.amptron.com/html/bios.beepcodes.html however, if the ram works in channel 1, but not channel 0, and they are matched sticks, then that indicates to me the connectors for channel 0 have an issue. double check the motherboard mouting, to ensure there are no shorts, clear cmos, and if that doesn't work, again it sounds like the slots on the board itself are NG. I'm sorry man....that sucks.

No problem, just glad to get reassurance that is what the problem is before I send it back :/ Should I try flashing / updating bios first?
Thanks

I don't think a bios upgrade/flash would be helpful, but did you check to see if there are any updates for your board, and if so, what they cover?
and just curious...have you tried just a single stick in those slots?

Aye, that is the main reason I think its the board. I can place a single stick of memory in the either slot of the working channel - the other channel wont take even one stick.
It's a 939 pin Athlon 64... that doesn't require dual channel does it? I wouldn't think so, but if it does I guess its possible the memory modules dont match up in size correctly.
