Shutdown dialog box in XP
OK, this should be quick...
My XP PC at work, when I go to shut down, displays the Win2k dialog box, with a nice professional drop-down of shutdown options. However, my home PC still shows the fluffy XP dialog with the colorful buttons, despite all my other stuff (windows, task bar, etc) looking like win2k. Not sure how I got my work PC to be this way, how can I change my home PC to look the same? Thanks, Bingle |

control panel / User Accounts / change the way users log on and off.
uncheck the "Use the Welcome Screen" box. Keep in mind this also gives you the Win2k'ish logon as well. Happy day.

The one at your work, if you're logging into a domain of some sort won't allow you to use fast-user switching. This is for security reasons, as I would hope at your work if you are on a domain, you would be hitting control-alt-delete to get to the login screen.
The administrator can force this.
