fast playing media files
all my media files (winamp, windows media player, and real player) are playing at 125% rate or more. every thing sounds like a chipmunk - movies, music, and even streaming live video. it was cool for the first 2 songs/videos but now it's very annoying. how do i fix this?
adjusting the play speed settings (such as in windows media player) does nothing. it's just a slower version of the chipmunk sounds. i'm running an amd xp 2500 with abit nf7s mobo. |

The only thing I can really think of is to check out ASUS's website and see if they have updated
sound drivers for your particular motherboard. Usually if files are playing fast, its a software issue (in this case, drivers.) It's happened to me before, but I just restarted my computer, since, I believe, it was only happening for one of my media players, which I liked to use over others. |
