New Mouse - MX 700 To MX 1000

Hi all. I just switched from a Logitech MX700 to an MX1000. I loved my MX 700 and was worried that I was wasting my money on a useless upgrade. But I am quite happy with the MX 1000 Laser. Well worth the money. Also, I was able to sell my MX 700 to a co-worker, that made the deal even better.

I tested one of these "MX1000 Laser Mice" at Fry's. It blew me away. I HAD to have one, until I found out they weren't offering a coorded version yet. So I must wait!

After using it for a couple of days I'm quite happy with it. The only thing I am a little irritated about is the battery. It's not designed to be changed by the user. Works fine in SuSE 9.1. Games seem the same as the MX 700.

The battery isnt designed to be changed by the user?
Are you supposed to RMA it when it finally dies?
That seems kinda stupid to me.

I suppose that when the battery dies, you are expected to buy a new mouse. Also, the "Back" button doesn't work in Firefox. That is massive suckage.

Its an on and off thing for me, sometimes it works, others not; no idea why this is the case

I just changed that mouse button to backspace. I have an MX500 because I'm not a fan of wireless and no money to buy MX510.

I have the cordless MX duo. is there anyway that I can change just the mouse without changing the my keyboard as well?

I don't think so, as the receiver runs the mouse and keyboard. Of course a new wireless mouse will have a new receiver with it. It might work, especially if it is using a different frequency. I would try it. You can always take the new mouse back.

Old signature just wasn't doing it for me anymore, so now I have this new one. It's equally as stupid but at least it looks really long. I'm probably just going to keep typing until I run out of things to babble about and see how many people actually read this. I once ran down a hill, fell down and hurt my elbow; my mom said I would be ok, she kissed it and made it all better. I've run out of things to say now, so if you have read this whole thing, congratulations you get a gold star!

That is a firefox thing, the previous version of FF worked and this latest rls does not work all the time. As the previous poster said, its off and on.

I've noticed Gmail works the least amount of time, its just weird.
