so earlier today, i was doing some research on spyware removal techniques (ok, i was looking for a software crack in one of the less sanitary parts of the web and got infected). during the course of removal of the istbar.slotch, various keenval downloaders, and the coolwwwsearch, i found out that yesterday, apparently merijn bellekom sold the rights of cwshredder to intermute. the program is still set up almost exactly the same, but is MUCH more effective for removing cws variants. intermute has added updates to take care of the random file name generation variants of cws, and cwshredder also now removes more affiliate programs of the cws. tis a great day in the camp of anti-spyware fighters. any other recent anti-spy news?

Thanks for posting this news. I've used cwshredder for a while until it was no longer being updated. Then again I think that after switching to firefox, I havn't needed to use it, but it's useful when diagnosing problems with people still using IE.
