Importing Video
I'm looking at importing some video to my computer and need some advice.
I see two main ways of doing it. Buying a USB device or a video card. I have no problem opening up the box and messing around so convience of installation isn't a factor. What I'd like to be able to do is make MPEGs, VCDs and maybe DVDs of home vidoes. These videos are not recorded on a digital video records so I'll be needing analog inputs (RCA). Thanks in advance. |

Did you try searching? This was posted earlier today... http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthread.php?t=72406 ...
And it's an almost identical question to what you have. Buying a new video card is unnecessary and expensive. I would recommend a video capture card (not a graphics display card), simply because PCI will most likey be faster than USB solutions. Not to mention it's nicer not to have stuff hanging out of the case. But that's just me. |
