Today, my CyberPoer 585AVR battery back up acted up. It will power on for about three seconds, kick off, turn itself back on, kick off, etc. over and over again. This happened about a month ago as well. At that time I unplugged everything, turned the power back on, and it was fine. That's not working this time. The outlet works fine, so I know it's the backup deal. Does anyone have any idea what's going on or why, and how do I correct it?

Probably something wrong with the internal circuitry. I would take it back to where you bought it from and see if a replacement is possible. At the least, they should be able to give you warranty information and a way to contact the mfg. directly if they themselves will not replace the unit at the store.
