WinXP question -- This should be SIMPLE....

Okay, so I've got two network connections: a wireless one I use at home, and a modem (actually a USB-to-serial cable that hooks to my cell phone) that I use on the road.

Problem is, when I'm using my wireless network and I try to go to a domain name that doesn't resolve, or if I'm somewhere the wireless connection is poor and fades in and out, my computer will bring up a prompt to dial the modem. It's like the machine wants to fall back to the modem when no other network connections can do the requested network action.

I've looked all over the place for a "dial automatically" checkbox I can turn off, but I haven't found a thing. What am I missing here?
