In your OS is XP you can right click My Computer-->left click Properties.
To find out about your Hardware, click on the Hardware Tab. Or to find out about Hardware, IRQ, I/O, DMA Sharing, IRQ Conflicts, as well as other features goto: Start-->All Programs-->Accessories-->System Tools-->System Information. Or goto Start--->All Programs--Administrative Tools-->Computer Management. *Administrative Tools by default is not in All Programs, you must right click your Taskbar-->Properties-->Click on the Start Menu Tab-->Click on Customize Start Menu--->Scroll all the way to the bottom and select the radio button for System Administrative Tools--->Display on All Programs Menu. |

I really like Belarc Advisor. It'll list the hardware and software installed in your system and display it as a web page.
