It is generally, from a usability stand point, not good to hide scroll bars unless you are absolutely certain that the content you are displaying is smaller than the smallest screen your viewers will be using. Beleive it or not lots of people still use 800x600, and I have even seen a couple 640x480 browser come across a couple of my sites. One solution is to pop up another window using JavaScript, this will allow you to pretty much customize that windows appearance, size, width, height, scrollbars, toolbars, as much as you wish. But, if after all that you still want to hide you scroll bars you will need to use CSS and make a style that looks like this:
html, body {height: 100%; width: 100%; overflow: hidden;} |

Internet Explorer shows a "grayed out" vertical scrollbar track whether there's actually a scrollbar in it or not. I presume this is what you're referring to. You could try using Microsoft's proprietary CSS properties for scrollbars to change the colors to match your page background. But then the problem becomes: if the content is larger than can be displayed without scrolling, users won't be able to find the scrollbar. It would probably be best to just not worry about it and view the page in Mozilla if it really bugs you that much.

I do use Mozilla at home but the Website is for all my clients to see and I seriously doubt that they use Mozilla so they'll be able to see the scrollbar ![]()

Nancy, if your clients use Internet Explorer, they're used to seeing the greyed-out scrollbar track and won't think twice about it appearing on your site as well. I wouldn't go to extravagant lengths to try to get rid of something no one will notice in the first place. If you over-engineer your site, you're in for a maintenance nightmare down the road.
