Way to prevent automatic messenger login?
Recently, I installed a Speedtouch USB modem for my DSL connection. I am having a slight problem (its more of an annoyance) - every time when I connect, it somehow is automatically signing me in to Windows Messenger (not MSN messenger, but Windows Messenger).
I'm not too fond of this feature, but I can't find anything in the Speedtouch software which gives me the option of disabling this. Does anyone know how I can prevent this unwanted login from happening? |

It's not the modem causing it, it's windows messenger.
This should help: http://www.mvps.org/marksxp/WindowsX...messenger2.php

um, go into the control panel/administrative tools/services, and find windows messenger on the list. disable it, it can be taken advantage of for thing's like messenger spam. not too big a security vulnerability, just really annoying. hope this helps.
