My video card (geforce 4 mxx440) has a standard vga port and a svideo out.
anyway i can get the display on a tv?

Go to the advanced section in the Settings tab of the display properties after you get the TV hooked up. There you can go the video card specific tab (mine says GeForce3 Ti 500) and choose your display.

Your video card should have also come with an adapter to go from the s-video port to an RCA cable. The picture won't be as good compared to straight s-video, but its the cheapest method you have if your tv or vcr doesn't support s-video.

Also You will have to set your screen to 640x480 or 800x600 depending on how good your tv is. You will not be able to get anything higher then this with just s-video. good luck.
