How to modify 512kb Award BIOS
I'd like to add a module for my Highpoint RocketRaid 133 IDE adapter to my machine's BIOS. I have the module and the bios file but I'm not having much luck combining the two.
I've tried Awardmod ('This BIOS is not recognised') and CBROM v2.15 (detects the bios but produces a large list of random characters when asked the names and lengths of files within the bios). Is there anything else I can use or try? I have an Asus A7V8X motherboard, currently using BIOS 1014 and Windows XP Pro. The modules I'd like to add are here edit: output from cbrom CBROM V2.15 (C)Award Software 2001 All Rights Reserved. ******** av8x4m14.awd BIOS component ******** No. Item-Name Original-Size Compressed-Size Original-File-Name ================================================================================ 0.
