HELP - WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU HAVE 4.1 SPEAKERS,AND A 5.1 SOUND CARD
CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU BUY A 4.1 SPEAKER SYSTEM, BUT HAVE A 5.1 SOUND CARD
|
nothing, usually in your soundcard software there is an option to pick which kind of set up you have. set it to 4.1. or in the control panel > sounds and audio devices > then on the bottom, speaker setting > advance.. set it to 4.1

Anyways, I'll try to entertain this question. The answer should be: you can set up a 4.1 system through Windows or whatever your soundcard manufacturer's software for configuring your speaker set up is. In other words nothing "happens" when you try to set up a 4.1 system on a 5.1 card. Your computer isn't gonna "blow a gasket". Most likely result is that 1) it automatically configures the sound for 4.1 channels, 2) it doesn't and you have to set it up through the manufacturer's software, 3) it plays through 2 channels. |
lol. I just picture that guy from Dilbert that always yells. I think that character is based of people like this. :)

Hahaha nothing really.
5.1 soundcard supports a 5.1 system so like Xepidemic says, set it to 4.1 :) duh? :P |
