Good digital camera??? (~$500)
I'm looking for a good digital camera. Thought I'd ask for your opinions...
Nothing professional, but good enough that average schmo would think so. I've been looking at the Canon Powershot series, but am open to any others. TIA! :thumbsup: |
i would suggest something that also offers full manual controls so that u can still have room to grow with whatever camera u decide on.
i think the canon s50 & s60 offer that. there may even be newer models in that S series that i didnt list... |
I just got the olympus 5050, and I love it.
I also have a canon powershot a40 and an a80. http://www.imaging-resource.com/ Its a very goof, in depth review of just about every camera you can think of, plus you can compare images from one camera to the next. |

Canon S60 is a fabulous camera, as already mentioned.
Can be found from around $360. |

The Sony DSC-F717 is a great camera that can be found for less than $500. When the camera was first introduced it retailed at $1000. That's my $.02
