Help with Subwoofer hook up . . .

Hey guys, thought I'd pose a question here prior to going out and asking at a shop.

I am trying to hook up a powered sub to a receiver/amp for my uncle.

The problem started when I realised that the receiver/amp has one output, but the sub has two inputs.

Do I need a 'Y' adapter out of the amp and run stereo leads to the sub, or just hook up with a single lead ??

Thanks heaps

Yes, a single female to double male 'Y' adaptor is the solutuion. Many home subs have the option of using a mono/single channel input but I have always had better results using both.
