XMPCR discontinued (XM for the PC)
XMPCR's are going for as much as $300 on ebay....
I'm glad I bought those extras when I did.... http://search.ebay.com/xm-pcr XMPCR rocked. I don't know why it happened. I can't believe that it's over the recording BS.

Probably the reason they don't really market it is because you can buy an XM receiver with an home adapter kit, which is really easy to hook up to your computer...

Actually the reason is becasue there's software that will record each song as MP3 and include the appropriate ID3 tags for title artist, etc.
XMPCRs have a USB port that allow you to control the radio. Rumor has it that they're trying to avoid the problems with the RIAAssholes. The Roady home adapter kits don't have USB control. The home kit is a cradle that supplies power and antenna connections. Some posts in XM forums are also suggesting that the forthcoming SkiFi 2 cradle is being redesigned to leave out USB.

I fully agree with that. I timeshift This American Life since I am on the bus when the morning show come on and getting reaedy for bed when the evening shows comes on. I've also snagged a couple of concerts for later.
RIAAssholes are like red-chasers in the 50's, running after shadows. Hell, collecting music off XM is like saving every porn pic you see on the net. No one has a big enough hard drive and there's plenty more where that came from, so why bother?
