Need computer case recommendation
So here's the skinny...
Building a new state-of-the-art rig, but I can't find a case that I really like. Looking for any suggestions from the community as long as the case * Comes in a color other than black, aluminum or beige. * Doesn't have any doors covering up the CD/DVD bays * Has at least the option of a side panel window, so I can show off my silicon pr0n. Any and all suggestions welcome. Hell, begged for!!

Well, for a state of the art PC, a Lian-Li case would do the job well. I've always heard about how good those cases were, but it wasn't until my brother got one and I blew my load on it that I really found out how cool they were. They are mainly in black, aluminum, and beige colors, but they do offer at least white and blue as well. If you want the best, I'd go for a Lian-Li case.
I've had a cheap-O case for 2 years now and I love it. It's a simple POWMAX case. Blue with a silver front and a self-installed case window. I've heard Antec cases are very good as well as Thermaltake's cases. It's down to finding one you like. If you want the best, I'd stick with Antec, Thermaltake, or Lian-Li. Other companies make good cases (and damn cool cases) but the three I listed are probably the best in concern to quality. Make sure to get a good PSU with your new state of the art computer! I suggest Enermax or Sparkle PSU's. -Lasereth

quackers said he didn't want any doors covering up the CD/DVD bays. I agree with that...they get on my nerves really bad.

You cant go wrong with Lian Li. Only thing is, I dont think they make them in colors other than black or siver. In fact, the only company I can think of who does is Antec.

Raidmax has several colors to choose from. Lots of their cases have 6 (!!!) fan mounts too - 4 in the front, one in back, one on the side. |

If you don't want anything covering up the bays, remove the swinging doors. The Chieftec and Antec cases are actually oem'ed out of Taiwan from a place called ChenMing (see www.chenming.com). These cases are great and light (weight). I have three of the black aluminum and think they're just wonderful.
Although I have never owned a Lian-Li case, I do hear they are quite good too.

check out www.frozencpu.com for some cool case ideas, I've bought from those guys before and they seem to be pretty good.
edit: maybe something like an acrylic case. C3 and AeroCool put out some good clear cases. If clear isn't your style, maybe a Chenbro Xpider case or a blue X-Dreamer II. I work for a computer store as a tech and these are some of the non-standard cases that we use when the customer gets tired of the same old thing
