Help! Start Menu Program Links...
because i really DONT know what im doing when it comes to computers, i inadvertantly erased the program "links" in the program folder in the start menu... ( i was trying to elimate files in the startUP function, and was working too quickly...)
without them, i cant access some of the programs that are in my computer... is there anyway to restore these "links?" are they located in another folder? i checked other users in the system, and i must have erased the mother folder that is linked to the other ones... oh boy... thanks! ps - im using windows 98 Last edited by twan5; 08-23-2004 at 12:02 PM.. |

Unless you've backed up there's no easy way to restore those shorcuts. You'll want to go in to C:\Program Files and try to manually make some start menu short cuts.
If you were using XP I'd probably suggest you try a system restore. I don't think 98 has anything similar to that. |
