Best spyware free client for downloading mp3s?
 
I don't really like kaaza lite anymore so now I'm in search of a good spyware free client to find mp3 sources. Any recommendations?

Anyways, as far as a non-Kazaa p2p prog that's free of spyware, I'd recommend WinMX.

I'm told Soulseek is really good too but I have yet to try it.

i couldnt turn off my uploads when i last tried kazaalite

my uploads kill my connection :\

"Disable sharing of files with other kazaa users" in Tools>Options>traffic tab

Direct Connect++. It looks daunting at first but once you get used to it you'll be hooked. Much better selection and quality stuff than Kazaa Lite in my experience.

I've been using WinMX. The only downside to it is that it can be slow at times.

I will have to second this. I have found some great things through DC++ while I usually have to wade through tons of junk on Kazaa

WinMX is my choice. You NEVER hear about it on the news like gokster and Kazaa and it lets you search Kazaa networks...

I dual with WinMX and Kazaa... WinMX for the hard to find stuff, and Kazaa for the really fast popular stuff... Although kazaa is loaded with fakes.

DC++ beats all the other progs, if you know the right hubs.

I've tried Kazaa, WinMX and Soulseek but didn't like any of them.

DC++ with the right hubs = great quality + great selection

Essentially, find a group of people who agree on common (high) standards and stick with that

I am currently having lots of connect/spyware issues with kazaa, (not kazaa lite) and iMesh. I upgraded to the latest version of both, both like Imesh barely connects to anything anymore. I have dsl.

Are WinMX and the others better than kazaa and iMesh for you all?

No way!! You gotta be sharing like 50 gig or something insane to get into the decent servers..

WinMX is the best for Uploading

It's not too bad for downloading, but there's an awful lot of queues and stuff, so look out..
