Case + Power supply for $35?
I'm in the market for a new case and power supply, and i was sifting through Newegg's listings. I came across this:
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduc...138-033&DEPA=0 $35.99 plus $12.99 shipping and handling... Seems like a decent case (i'm not looking for anything special) and it comes with a 430 watt power supply. After taking a quick glance around the rest of the site, and other sites as well, i get the impression these things normally cost more than this *individually*. Am I missing something?

you generally get what you pay for....
if your not gonna be tinkering in the case much then this will prolly be fine... but if you are... then i would definently recomend spending a little bit more... you and your fingers will appreciate it.

Thanks, J, i'll keep that in mind. A few user comments i've read say as much, too, that it's not the best crafted case in the world.
Guess I'll do some more shopping.

scroll through those. They're not top of the line or anything, but they're solid, roomy, and none of my 4 have given me any problems. |

you never know, i ended up getting a $37 case shipped with a 430 watt psu and two fans and it's been running great. On the other hand, i haven't taxed it much and i try to keep it from getting all screwey, but on the whole, it's a great case/psu, no weird blips, shutoffs, anything and it runs well and is quiet.
On the ohter hand, you do get what you pay for and if you're gonna be running a lot of everything great and are really concerned about blowing something, then get a separate case/psu.

Just my opinion, but I would never buy a cheap PSU. To have a motherboard or vidio card get fried by a cheap PSU, well, that's just not worth the risk. But, yes, you can get lucky and get a decent cheap PSU. I just don't think it's worth the gamble.
