9800 Pro problem.
I have a 9800 pro I probably got about 6 months ago or so, maybe a little longer.
But I just recently reinstalled, and noticed that my card won't allow me to set it to x8 AGP speed. It's turned on in the bios, and I've tried to a few different drivers. The DNA drivers, the Catalyst drivers, and the Omega drivers all do the same thing. I can select x8, but when it reboots and tests, it comes back up at AGP Speed set to off. It's won't stay at x8. I'm afraid that somthing is wrong with the video card, or the AGP slot on the board. The board is an Abit IC7-G. |

There really isn't sufficient evidence to be worried, as the 8x bus is theoretically twice as fast, but in reality, isn't. Most hardware websites were seeing a 4-10% increase in applications and games, but it that really enough to be worried about?
