I have a buddy who is looking to sell his laptop. Its an HP N5350 (P3 850mhz 128mb, 20gb HDD, 15in screen, WinME) However the battery dead, doesnt work, only works when directly plugged into the wall. The cheapest ive found something remotely close was about $550. I was thinking because it has a dead battery that 400 was a good asking price... Can anyone confirm this or suggest another price?

I personally would say that your best best is to go to ebay and search recently finished auctions for the same or similar models. This will tell you how much the same (or similar) laptop in fact HAS been sold for recently, possibly even within the past week or so.
