MX700 no longer recharges on its base
My logitech MX700 no longer wants to charge when placed in its base recharger/receiver. usually when you place it in the base the optical laser goes out and it begins charging. Now the laser just stays on and the recharge light does not come on. Anyone have any ideas? I checked the logitech site and could not find any answers.

I get the same thing happening to me sometimes, what usually fixes it is to rub the two metal ovals on the bottom of the mouse with a rag or your shirt. You could also try moving the mouse from side to side while it's in the charger.

Check your power, maybe a helpful relative/loved one unplugged it for their own purposes and failed to plug it back in again (happened to me a couple of times).
Otherwise I would suggest really wiggling it around in it's base to see if the metal thingees (technical term :)) connect... otherwise you might have a defective mouse on your hand |
Sounds like bad contacts. Maybe they descended too much and can't touch the mouse, or maybe they're just dirty.

Logitech equipment is sooo bad in terms of durability. Don't get me wrong, their ergonomics are great and their stuff looks pretty nice, but I've had like 3 wireless keyboards go bad on me. They just simply stop responding
