Linux Radeon Drivers - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

I've recently procured a Radeon 9500 for my own personal usage, but I'm having difficulties getting it to work with my system. I'm running Debian 3.0 with the 2.4.20 kernel. I've tracked down the problem to the C library versions. Im running 2.3, but the drivers (Which are in RPM format) are only built for 2.2 and therefore wont install. Now, the drivers should work with the 2.3 libraries but I dont know of anyway to install them. If anyone could give me any help or point me in the direction of a website which would help it would be greatly appreciated. I already searched the forum and came up with nothing, but if I missed it and it already has been answered I apologize. Thanks for the help.

As a final note, I apologize for the terrible grammar in this post.

I have a 9700. I'll just tell you right now that Linux + Radeon 9x00 = Ass Pains Deluxe.

I still haven't got mine to work. Console, ahoy!
