Weird Mouse Problems - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Lately I have been getting some strange problems with my mouse (mouse is fine, I tried 3 different ones). I'll be going along doing my thing, open up a second IE window and everything just sort of "lag" mouse moves not swiftly but in inch intervals for about 5 seconds, then everything is fine.. Ran every spyware program known to man, nothing, ran AVG, nothing. Resources are fine.

Did you reinstall your mouse drivers?

I was thinking of that, but... everything slows down when it happens, let says im watching a flash file itll slow down VASTLY, so i dont think its the driver. but I will check

What is the actual basis for this that it's a mouse problem then, if everything slows down? Is it only when a second IE window gets opened? Are there other times it happens?

I only notice it happening when I open something new, or switch back and forth between windows. This thing is loaded with ram and I monitor the physical memory and thats not the problem..

I had a problem somewaht simular to yours with the mouse. After installing UT2K4. The movements of my mouse became slow and jerky, but not all the time. I have a ASUS A7N8X deluxe board with onboard sound. I disabled the sound and everything worked. I put a Sound Blaster Live sound card in. I wasn't having any sound problems, but it worked. Not saying that would work for you, but....
