Can you say uber cool? Motorola RAZR V3 phone
 

Check this sweet mother out. I just found this tonight, as US Cell has been pissing me off as of late. I would buy this phone, regardless of price and which provider offers it.

damn awesome looking phone! anyone know how many mp the camera is? i hope its at least more than a mega pixel.

I'm not saying that it's in it, but qualcomm recently released a chipset that was for a 6mp camera for cellphones.

I checked out the forum link, lots of good info there. Looks like those babies are gonna for 500-750 smackers. Damn thats a lot for a phone. Its gonna be GSM, so that rules out me staying with US Cell, and someone mentioned that it might be an "unlocked" GSM phone, enabling it to work with any GSM provider. Time shall tell, as a September release is expected.

any idea if you can use it with nextel direct connect?

I like it alot saw it on their site the other day. I like the V710 too but if it's like the V600 is a heavy mother. That's about the only turn off about it. Camera/mp3/expandable memory and itunes sync will be sweet.

It will not be compatible with Nextel. They use the IDEN network, and the V3 is Quadband GSM.

Incorrect. Unfortunately it is a 640x480 according to BengalBoy.

Sorry I was thinking about the camera on the v710 which is 1.2mp. The v3 you are correct.

When I do need a phone, the features I'll look for are good reception, a small size, good battery usage, and a low price. These phones are really all-in-one devices which just happen to feature audio comunication.

The phone is pretty cool, but has a lot of unnecessary features.

We are getting ever closer to having our very own tri-corder. Throw on a thermal camera and a few scientific instruments and the Future is NOW.

The first thing that appealed to me about this phone is the fact that it wouldn't create an unsightly bulge in a suit pocket. My current phone with an extended life battery is almost an inch thick.

BengalBoy's review is up at Howard Forums. It is very favorable. The only thing he didn't like was the phonebook. He said it didn't sync well via Bluetooth. I'm still drooling over it, and can't wait for it to be released.

Thats a nice phone.. I was looking for a new one and now I'm considering this one and the Motorola a780.. The OS on that thing is Linux and it has some kick ass features to boot..

I was talking with my friend who works for Cingular, as of Friday, September 17th the V3 will be released by Cingular for 500 dollars or 350 with 2 year contract. They were supposed to release it on the 10th but were delayed so we will see what happens tomorrow. And some new kickass facts on it, the v400 has 65k color screen, the v3 will have 200k. It does have a 1.3 megapixel camera, with bluetooth. If you have anymore questions let me know and I will ask my friend.

Allright, So I do alot of phone research every day since I do Customer care for a major wireless company known as AT&T Wireless. I have to say that the phone looks fairly atractive, but I am still weary of it as Motorola has been making alot of less then reliable phones lately. However what I have read about the phone is that it is supposed to be phenomonal. So far the only real complaint on the phone has been that it is too expensive.

I've been lusting after this phone since I saw the pics. But at the $1000 price tag up here in Canada-eh, I'll wait for one of you to try it out first.
