Looking to understand these sites..
I have found a few sites on the next that use some sort of code to make gallerys on there sites.
I am a MIS major and have not really gotten in to programing. If anyone can show me how these sites work, id really appreciate it. Mainly this one: http://babes.coolios.net/cooliosgallerizer.php I veiwed the source code of it but it references " cooliosgallerizer.php" and I cannont see that code apparently. http://ripper.webrats.com/index.php http://fusker.digiphotohost.com/index.php Any help would be greatly appreciated! In PHP, you can't see the source code unless they totally frig up their webserver config and such. What you ought to do is go to some php developer site and look around at the code.
You'll probably want to take a basic course in programming or at least get a book and start reading because being thrown right in is fun sometimes, it helps to know what things mean. |

basicly the php page parses the html of the page looking for pictures then creates a page based on them.

There are literally dozens or more "album" or "gallery" packages for PHP. Some are stand-alone, some plug into portal PHP scripts like e107 (http://www.e107.org) or PHPNuke.
Do some poking around and you'll be able to find a lot of options, mostly using the gd libs to make thumbnails and the like. My website (http://www.xepherys.net) has a PHP gallery that runs as an add-in for e107. PHP code is always parsed on the server, so you are not able to see the code itself unless you are looking at the files on the server (console). All that is sent to the browser is a stnadard HTML page generated by the PHP parsing process.
