logitech mouseman acting wonky
When I turned on my computer this morning, my logitech cordless optical mouseman went nuts on me! If I open a browser (ie, opera, anything) it just randomly scrolls up and down, selects things, etc. It's impossible to use...
Does anyone know what might be wrong? I don't think its the batteries (I change the batteries on this thing like once a month, and it never does this when they're low)... I went to logitech's website, and downloaded the latest drivers/mouseman software. No good. Btw, the receiver plugs into a USB port, if that makes any difference. And, I'm using a laptop. So, I know its the cordless mouse thats malfunctioning, since, when I unplug it and use the pointer built into my laptop, everything is okay. Oh, I installed a set of Windows XP updates last night when prompted to. That was the last time I had my computer on with the mouse working fine (don't know if there's any correlation between this and the mouse acting wonky, just thought I'd mention it in case). I've had this thing for almost exactly 2 years now. Is it possible it's just farked? |
