Wireless Problem

When we lose the connection, can not get signal back. It is a Linksys B system, could that be the problem? Also, the main router, the person is running his computer by wire out of one of the connections in back., not wireless.

It might be defective or something. We need some more info, though. Is it an access point or a wireless router? Do you have to reset it to get it to connect again? Did you try another wireless lan card in your computer? Is windows' Wireless Zero configator thingy acting up?

The fact that one also uses cables to connect to the router cannot be the problem - I have the same setup, and have never had any problems. The same can be said for the network at my job, and any network I know of.

thanks

the card seems to have been the problem, seem my son had an external one and had dropped it. A new one did the the trick.

Awful for "that problem"?

What problem is that? The card's being dropped and broken by teenage sons?

LOL

I've never had any problems with Linksys kit. And it's the market leader in SOHO kit. Having said that, I find NetGear stuff pretty good too.

I had the same probem with a Linksys USB wireless adapter and wireless router. The PC with the USB adapter would lose it's connection after at most 10 minutes and not be able to restore without a reboot. I must have tried at least 10 articles from their knowledge base without sucess and gave up on the products in the end.
