BSOD Problems
Lately I have been getting the blue screen of death two-three times a day, happens randomly, fan goes on super high, says some errors, physical memory dump. Have to press on/off button to get computer to restart. I pulled this out of event viewer.
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x1000008e (0xc0000005, 0xf83452cd, 0xf29acb10, 0x00000000). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini071004-01.dmp. Whats it mean? |

What OS.
I'm pretty certain that it's XP/2000 but figured I'd ask. What you can do is open the file Mini071004-01.dmp and look at it. What it basically is is everything that is stored in the memory. When I last had an issue with my fiancees computer, I looked at thatand was able to determine that she had a problem with her modem which we updated and were golden. But, you should be able to look in there and look at the last few lines I think and it should help you determine whats doing it...hopefully. |

Quick question: Did you upgrade to XP from 2k? also, do you have an audigy sound card? I ran the error hex through microsoft, this is what I cam up with:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;310740 As a general note, If I get a system that's blue screening in XP, I'd look to the hardware drivers first. Make sure all your drivers are up to date, and try disabling some non-essentials to see if it's something there.
