Newegg behind?
Is it just me or is it that Newegg is behind in getting the products. 400 GB HDD's and smaller sizes with 16 MB caches are out now but Newegg has none, not even listed.
It took them awhile to get the Nvidia 6800 listed. They still do not have the Prescott 560 (3.6 GHz) yet. What's the deal?

I have noticed that too with their DL DVD Burners. They finally got the new Sony in a couple weeks ago. They might be slowing down but they still do a great job.

I'm glad newegg is limiting my ability to buy at the overpriced bleeding edge of computer products. If that's your thing, more power to ya, but I'll leave the latest and greatest to people with more money than sense.

Newer and greater technology available lowers the price of the older components!

Well, in NewEgg's defense, some of the aformentioned products haven't actually been out (mainly the GeForce 6800...nowhere on the Internet had it for sale for a long time, the X800 had it beat concerning availability big time). NewEgg also enjoys having enough products for its customers, so they won't put up a product unless they have enough for everyone. I haven't noticed them being behind on much of anything. Most of the sites that are "ahead" of NewEgg are the ones on Pricewatch.com that have a 1 out of 10 rating on resellerratings.com . I wouldn't buy from those companies even if they did have the products out early.

I agree with Scipio and Lasereth on this one. I don't mind waiting a week or two longer. I'm sure the majority of resellers listed on Pricewatch are legit and just fine but I'll stick with Newegg, thank ya very much.

I agree with Lazereth.
I waited 2 weeks to get my ATI XT800 Pro. Others had it but I wanted it from them. I built my new computer with 80% of the parts from them

I can't wait for the 16MB caches to hit though, I can deal with 200 GB and 16 MB cache.
