Kazaa DRM?
I was trying to download a song from Kazaa and when I went to preview it I was told that I need a security upgrade (I need to upgrade a DRM digital rights management for Microsoft). Has anybody else seen or heard of this? I didn't upgrade because I didn't know what the hell it was? Will this hurt my rig and my ability to download tunes from the Net? Thanks

Don't upgrade! Open Windows Media Player and go to Tools>Options, and then the Privacy tab. Uncheck "Aquire licences automatically...." Maybe that has something to do with it.

Definitely don't upgrade.
Did the file you downloaded have a gold icon next to it? Those are Windows Media files with DRM on them so don't even bother downloading them because chances are 1) you can't play it without DRM (which it would be best to avoid) and 2) even then you probably won't be able to play them because they're under ownership of someone else. These files, in my opinion, are probably created by people who don't know what they're doing and are using Windows Media Player to rip their songs, not realizing that they can't share them then. Stick to downloading filse in mp3 and ogg format and you shouldn't have to worry about these things. At least, not right now anyway.
