j8: My FujuFilm FinePix A303 (digital still cam) can be used as a webcam.

Unfortunately, R3d, it doesn't look like you can use that camera as a webcam. I couldn't find anything about it.

Usually any still camera that lets you take short movies will let you do it, but that one doesn't appear to.

If you CAN do it, you would most likely have to switch the USB connection mode on the camera. Mine is DSC by default, which makes the computer recognize it as a USB storage drive. I switch it to PC CAM mode to make it show up as a webcam. The other still cameras I've seen that do this work similarly.

the camera itself needs to have the feature, it's not a software thing. i have a fuji finepix 4800 which can be used as a webcam. that's about all i use it as since the battery's gone spastic on me and i don't feel like shelling out for a new one... (the family's got a canon s300 which i use instead).
