Problems with Comcast and Yahoo?
I've had Comcast High-Speed Internet for over a year now and Ihave never had any problems, but recently since Yahoo changed their emails to 100 mb inbox, most of the stuff on Yahoo's site just refuses to work.
The front page loads fine but the News Articles, the search engine, and even the mail itself refuses to load up. I have to end up using something like www.proxify.com to go and check my email. I'm just wondering whether or not this will be fixed by Comcast themselves, or will I have to do something myself to get this fixed?

I have Comcast high speed and my gf uses Yahoo. She has been experiencing problems, but I think it is due to Yahoo. I notice their TV listings, for example, fail to show up as anything but "No info available" for the first couple reloads, and then are fine, and then screw up later. I think Yahoo is just getting railed.

Ditto the Yahoo problems, getting to the buisness and the groups sections hasn't been working for me for a few days now.

the problem's not comcast. at least, i'm highly doubtful. comcast doesn't have anything to do with yahoo, they provide connectivity the same way any other provider does.
the only thing that is connecting to yahoo is your own configuration. try using a different browser like firefox, that may solve the problems. it's also likely that yahoo's server is having issues, some pages may not load for various reasons on their end. i'm using IE6 on WinXP with Comcast and access Yahoo fine, although i'm only talking about their mail and game services. haven't acccessed anything else. you can also try a traceroute to yahoo's servers, there may be a problem somewhere along the way. |
