No it doesnt, i got one while using hotmail.

I got a gmail account from gmailswap.com recently. Y'all will know about it if and when I start getting invites.

How long does it usually take to get some invites to your gmail account.

UPDATE : crfpilot, sargorn and LNCPapa, check the email addresses you provided, invites on their way.

That's all I had left for now, but the last batch I got was 15 in three days. I ran out of people to give them to, so if I get more I'll post back.

Question for anybody.. how do you end up getting invites in the first place? After so much use of the system, something like that?

I have one invite at the moment. First PM (with email address to send it to, of course) gets it.

Latch there's been a lot of talk about that in the other communities, and no one can pin it down to any one thing. It's not necessarily usage, because I'm pushing 100-300MB through that mailbox every day. It's not necessarily a matter of time because I got my first three invites within 24 hours, and then didn't get any at all for over a week.

My personal thoughts, every time the Gmail system reaches an internally guaged milestone and remains stable, they figure out how many users will be needed to make the next milestone, and send invites accordingly.

I also believe that the longer you've been in the beta, the more invites you get. I say believe because I really have no idea, but damn if it doesn't make sense to think that way... :)

for now all the invitations are taken, my PM mailbox was friggin FLOODED!! and only had one person screw up the form, in which said person didnt get a gmail account :( As i get more i'll fullfil more requests, people that i gave them too, please share the wealth!!
