Web Host Recommendations
I am about to put up my web site again and am shopping around for a reliable web host. I used Interland many years ago and am unsure whether to go back with them or to look elsewhere. Anyone have any recommendations, good or bad, to help in my search???

Try searching first.... It works wonders.
Free? Paid? What all do you need? I my self use www.anhosts.com for almost 2 years now, best I've ever had. Another good one I know is www.custommonster.com |
As for what I am looking for...
At least 100mb space, 10 GB transfer, 20 email address with unlimited aliases... I don't mind paying but am really not looking to spend more than $30.00 a month and am most concerned with quality of service. I want my money's worth. |
I'm with crisishost.com and the guy running it, josh, is great, he's giving me a great price and great service... I've been very happy with them. 100mb of space 10gig of bandwidth and unlimited email accounts, Mysql databases, all for $10 a year..

edit: other plans are availabe with lower numbers Large Plan: 2.5 GB storage 60 GB/month bandwidth $20/month Super Plan (what I use for one of my sites): 4.5 GB 100 GB/month bandwidth $30/month very good, reliable service so far and they have a support forum where thay answer question (presale and all others) quickly from what I have seen. |
Interland is a huge ripoff.
www.hytekhosting.com http://www.hytekhosting.com/plans.html for $30, which you said was your limit, you'd get 3GB of space, 75GB of bandwidth, and unlimited email accounts, ftp accounts, subdomains, and SQL db's. You'd get more than you need for $10/month. I can also say that the guy who runs it is a good guy. He lives across town from me and I've talked to him a couple of times. |
