My computer is unusable :(
So I was messing around with the themes in winxp. Well, I accidently picked one that is solid black. The taskbar, the explorer windows, my wallpaper, everything is solid black. The only thing I can see on my desktop are the icons.
When I right click to try to change the theme, the box is solid black and impossible to see. I tried booting into safe mode and changing the theme, but when I did a regular boot it went back to the black theme. I can see some things in my browser, which is how I'm typing this, but not much else. PLEASE HELP!!!

see if you can get a start /run then do services.msc then see if you can see the themes service and turn it off, that might work in safe mode too, boot into safe mode and disable the themes service
err come to think of it, all you ll have then is a disabled themes , itll still come back to black after you enable it, though it might allow you to change the default theme. once you reboot with it off |

WAAHOOOO!
I figured it out. I just memorized the keystrokes from my buddies computer and did it to mine. Thanks for the tip charlie, that probably would have worked too.
