yeah, it'll be great if everyone "upgrades" email services. file attachment size is a great thing...
however. i can imagine that one huge attachments are allowed by the "free" mail services, you can almost guarantee that spammers/crackers are going to use this to their advantage.... (not that they don't already...) |
I have to say yahoo has been excellent as far as spam goes. I get little to no spam on my yahoo accounts. Which I can't say for hotmail. Within hours of creating an account for hotmail I got horsefucker and dick pill spam. That really pissed me off, because I hadn't used the email address anywhere! Great to think that my daughter can sign up for an email account and get that kinda shit. I mean hey, we're all into horsefucking, but not till 18 ;)

I too have found Yahoo's spam filter to be much better than Hotmail's. Is the new Yahoo Mail running slower than usual for anyone else here?
*edit* seems to have sped up. Must've been only temporary. |
No, it's running faster for me. I don't know if it's just a side effect of me thinking it's so much better or it really is.
I've only recently started getting spam with the Yahoo account that I've had for over a year. I used to get about one spam message per month or less, but now i get one every two or three days. On my old hotmail account I got about a thousand per week. I stopped using it before that point, but I would still go back to check for any important messages. |
my sbcglobal account (which is a Yahoo joint service) has 2gb of storage now.

Yesterday I received an invite to gmail, which yahoo sorted as spam, go figure. But in the meantime SBC Yahoo sent me this message:
