help -Browser hijacker!
Help! I ahve been fighting this for a week now- when IE is opened a second window opens ( labeled C:\WINDOWS\DL.html ) then a second window opens that says connector object, which ocassionaly changes to accu.acculoader...if i allow it to run. Untill I yanked the phone lines it would try to dial out- now it hijacks my broadband satellite connection. I have:
Windows XP on a dell pc, intel pentium 2.52 ghz MSIE ad-aware spybot Norton personal firewall Norton anti-virus cwshredder hijack-this Everything is current and nothing has worked-including trying to find these files on my computer and delete them! Help! thanks in advance! MD

some info here:
http://www.computercops.biz/modules....topic&p=191396 looks like you need to download a "cloaking" program for ad-aware. since i haven't used this cloaking program myself, i can't voutch for its effectiveness or anything else....

Doing a further google search of "acculoader"
This looks like it might be your problem http://www.computercops.biz/postp197586.html Specifically it mentions something called wintime.exe in the \windows\system32 directory, but it might also have more info about what you got. other links that may also be of interest (related and/or recommending the same thing) http://computercops.us/postt46128.html This page mentions that this is a new hijacker with no current fix but has some useful links http://forums.thatcomputerguy.us/ind...ic=2051&st=135 good luck getting rid of this |
