weird dsl thing

so i hooked dsl up to my computer at home. Went to install ICS so that my other 2 computers could get on net without me buying a router. I was getting net b4 i enabled sharing...but soon as i enabled sharing i stoped getting net. This is threw SBC dsl. Does anyone know why sharing a connection would make that connetion stop working? im runing windows XP pro. And im sharing 1 ethernet connections internet to the other ethernet conenction which is my network. I did this exact thing with my cable. But with DSL it dont seem to be working. any suggestions please let me know

It's likely that if you try to enable file and print sharing, ICS will freak out (as it leaves open large security holes). I'm not an expert though, someone else may have a better idea.

are you running a software firewall like Norton Internet Security or Zone Alarm? You should also check if windows xp turned on your internet connection firewall. This might be the problem. Also make sure all your computers have up-to-date drivers for the NICs.

Are all the computers running xp pro??

Conneiton sharing and 98 don't mix well. I've seen a few IT professionals wander off shaking their heads after 8 hours of trying to set it up.
