How can I organize all these bookmarks?
 

I use IE6 and have too many bookmarks. Even when they are organized in folders it is a pain in the rear to click and scroll through them all.

I prefer to keep to bookmarks local and would love to be able to save a note (i.e. why the hell did I bookmark this particular page months ago) along with the bookmark. Saving them as html is an idea but then it seem to be a pain to edit them.....

Any programs out there or any other suggestions will be appreciated.

I use multiple folders. Even folders within folders. Additionally, I rename the bookmarks so that I know what they are. Too often the company name (or whatever it defaults to) doesn't distinguish it in my mind. Naming it something that fits my thinking makes it a lot easier.

I have found a nifty little program called Linkman, it stores your bookmarks in a database, and you can put keyworkds in for the page, so you can type say "cars" and it'll search for the keyword.

It also supports comments, ratings, and a whole lot more. It is shareware however, which is the only downside I see.

Avant Browser allows you to open all links in folders, so I just make a folder for my daily destinations and hit it twice a day, leaving all other bookmarks in other folders by genre.
