computer for music production
my brother is going to buy a new computer and wants to spend about 1000 dollars. i like windows, but he thinks a mac would be the best. i think they should be the same, but im not really sure. i was wondering if anyone knows about recording and producing music on a computer and what you would recommend getting. i appreciate any advice.

a thousand bucks won't buy a whole lot of mac... but i'd get a 15" powerbook if i had the money.
i currently record/make music on a desktop pc. it's an older pIII, but it works. really, the determining factor could be cost (or comfort with OS platforms).... there are professional musicians that will swear by either windows or mac... |
it all comes down to pocket book.
