Computer Screen Goes Blank
I've recently been having this problem with my computer. I'll be surfing the internet or typing something up and the screen will just go black. I move my mouse around and still nothing happens. Sometimes the screen will pop back on real quick and other times I have to restart the computer for it to work again. What could be causing this?? I ran a virus scan and that turned up nothing. So i'm out of ideas.

Sounds like a bad monitor to me. I've had two shitcan used monitors go to death doing the same thing. They just go black and won't turn back on until they cool down or something.

Check your monitor's connection to your computer and make sure it's not loose for one thing. If that's not the problem, try plugging your monitor into a different power source and see if that clears it up. If that fails, try borrowing a different monitor from a friend and see if that one has the same problems. If it does, there's probably something wrong with your video card. If not, get a new monitor. I suggest getting a viewsonic G90fb. It's a beautiful black 19" flat screen crt and you can find it for under 200 bucks.
