Computer Probs

If ya think ya got a good suggestion, let me know, i'll prob end up destroyin the computer with a shotgun anyways, but here's the run down of what's been done of this comp and a lil background history (as well as i remember it, been so long)

Computer had a small glitch (can't remember what it was) so I decided to reformat my computer, figured it would speed it up anyways. Finish reformatting and my comp just started goin crappy as shit. It would randomly turn off or not boot up all the way, alot of stuff wasn't respondin the way it was suppose to. Anyways, replace the harddrive. Nothin really happened. By now, windows no longer opens, computer gets to the window boot up screen, then stops....goes no further, doesn't show any sign of doin anything really. Next thing to be replaced, Video Card - GeForce 3 Ti 200. Still nada. Next thing - Motherboard (ECS K7S5A) and Processor (AMD 1800 XP). Somethin to note, at this point, I had to have the connecting wires between the power switch and motherboard, i had the plastic piece pulled off and the wires were plugged individually. For a lil while, my computer would actually go all the way to Windows. Then, I shut my computer off one day. Now? I turn the computer on...no response on the monitor, screen stays black.

All the hardware replacements were done by technicians. I'll prob end up buyin a new comp, but if this comp only needed like another 30 dollar part, I'd be pissed, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Seeing as how you replaced everything but the memory and power supply (as far as main parts are concerned), I would try them before trashing the parts. Hell, if you're just gonna shoot it, I'll pay shipping if you send it to me .

I would second the power supply recommendation. Power supplies can be a major cause of instability/problems that people rarely think about. If you do get a new one, make sure to get a quality name brand one. For the processor you stated earlier, you will probably want one that is at least 400w with at least 160w on the +5v and 3.3v lines. I would also highly recommend getting a dual fan P/S. Hope this helps, oh and I second the mail the parts to me I will pay shipping before you shoot them.
