large downloads for test purposes
 

I did find a 30 Meg jpeg of mars on the Goddard Space Flight Centre, but I've lost it :(

does anyone know of any good test files I can use? the larger the better, preferrably images

you could go to the links board and search out some large porn downloads....

or are you talking about "clean" files?

if so, try downloading a linux .iso.

... knoppix 3.4 perhaps?

You might want to go to some game publishers websites (Electronic Arts, Sierra, Eidos, etc) and download some game demos. They are usually 100+ MB.

Or go with the linux iso's imo. If you want if you want big pictures go for some stock photo sites, they usually have high res pics etc.
