Sharp Flat Screen Monitor
Hi, I salvaged a sharp LCD flat panel monitor from an old laptop... now i want to convert it to more pedestrian uses. Any suggestions? Im looking for white papers or anything of that nature where i can figure out how to re-wire this thing back into... say NTSC standard video?
Here are the labels... http://expert.ics.purdue.edu/~mwmathes/LCDscreen.jpg any help would be really nice, Fox |
You're probally not going to find anything about that one, buddy.
Those screens are all proprieatary (sp?). While I'm sure it *can* be done, it's next to impossible. Each LCD uses different inscructions that are on a chip in your Laptop. Sucks, I know. |
I've done research on this before and it's virtually impossible. If you're really interested, visit hardforum.com and do some searching for LCD's. There has been tons of discussion regarding what you're talking about. I think EarthLCD has a website that specializes in complete packages.
