version problems.
Hi. I got wordperfect 8 and at work i got wordperfect 9 or higher... can someone recomend me a software that can read wordperfect 9 documents? any! just not wordperfect 9... i bought enough WP software... i don't want to buy another one just for a few files... now if word can do it, then plz tell me!!! any software!

Not sure of how much of a help it will be to you, but OpenOffice seems to be headed in that direction.
Does OpenOffice support WordPerfect file formats ?

ms word should be able to read the file (especially if it's a .wpd file).... it may, however, need the conversion tools that are on the office disk, if your installation of office was not the "complete" installation.
beware, though, that things may shift or look a little different...

Not sure if this option helps any, but usually if you save a file as Rich Text Formatting (RTF) it is usually more portable and saves many of the basic formatting features used in different word processors.
Also is there any way to save in a lower wordperfect format? Or do the orginal files have to be in wordperfect 9 format? |
